Susan Webb is Director of Public Health in Grampian with a strong interest in applying systems thinking to improve population health and care. As alumini of the Kings Fund ‘Top Manager Programme’, she has also applied a systems approach to capacity building and succession planning for future public health leaders in Scotland.
With significant experience in public health and planning, Susan builds alliances to strengthen our collective contributions across the public, voluntary and commercial sector towards reducing inequalities and improving outcomes for people. This is demonstrated through her leadership roles as Chair of Scottish Directors of Public Health and Vice Chair of Community Planning Aberdeen. She is also co-chair of the Public Health System Leadership Group, shared with the Chief Executive of Public Health Scotland.
During the covid-19 pandemic, Susan led the public health teams in Grampian & Shetland and had a national leadership role in shaping Scotland’s test and protect response.
Susan a registered public health specialist, studied public health at Glasgow University and has a clinical background as a state registered dietitian from Robert Gordons University. She is currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Aberdeen University.
