Yvonne Willis-Henderson is an experienced marketing and communications professional with significant experience of working in the public sector.

Following the completion of a master’s degree in health promotion and education, Yvonne started her NHS career in 1997. After working in several Scottish health boards, across a variety of topic areas, she became increasingly interested in social marketing as an approach for influencing behaviour change.

Consolidating her practical experience, Yvonne completed a post graduate qualification in public relations. She then worked at a national level in communications and marketing positions for NHS Lothian, and NHS Health Scotland. Her current position is Marketing Manager within Public Health Scotland.

Yvonne is the lead for marketing on the organisation’s corporate portfolio, providing expertise and guidance to a range of internal and external projects, with a focus on events and sponsorship.

Yvonne very much enjoys working in collaboration with others - being part of the planning group for the inaugural Scottish Public Health Conference with internal colleagues and external partners, stakeholders and marketing agencies has been very satisfying, as it lets her creative side flourish!

Outside of work, Yvonne enjoys spending time with horses, riding both at home and abroad, is an avid Pilates fan, loves reading and being in the great outdoors.
