Tim Allison is Director of Public Health for NHS Highland which covers Highland and Argyll and Bute. He has been in post since July 2020 and before that was Director of Public Health in the East Riding of Yorkshire for many years. He has been Secretary of the Association of Directors of Public Health and his professional interests include health in remote and island communities, musculoskeletal health, public health quality and the history of disease. He has been known to take part in the occasional quiz and some long slow cycle rides.
